It’s the Last Day!

Slept for 6 Hours, pretty good

So finally I slept without any interruption for 6 hours during the Cyens Summer Programme!!!
Well nice then.

AI’s are Fun

So at the start we finished the last part in rendering which we left out at Monday due to insufficient time. It was ok, nothing too special.
But then, we started doing machine learning in Unity with MLAgent.
And that is also the reason why the teacher brought his desktop, except, he only brought one video cable so he has to see the projected image and there’s no wifi on board to provide internet access.
It did well at the beginning, we didn’t follow what he did, except me and maybe someone else but my laptop’s battery died mid-way so I had to abandon it, it is also because I don’t have MLAgent 1.5~ but only 1.0/1.1~.
We taught a ball to roll itself to a randomly placed goal on a platform. It turned out pretty good and the average reward/punishment thing was close to 1 after just 2 minutes of training.
Then, we thought about teaching the goal to run away from the target.
There was some frustration at the execution, but the results were good.
Kind of, they still fall down the platform and get’s reached, but it is pretty good tbh.
And during the course of 2 balls chasing after one another, I began singing the Diddle Umma Day.
So. imagine this, you are watching balls chasing after one another in a naive way and none of them are failing, and you suddenly hear Di di diddlybum, diddlybum-a-di-do. It was pretty fun.
After that, with the kart AI demonstration, one of the packages need re-import but there’s no internet on the desktop.
Thankfully, the lecturer brought his laptop and he used that to play the project.
It was with karts driven by AI using perception of 7 line sensors.
And the scene looks suspiciously like in Trackmania.
Many of the AI bumps onto the side of the road to turn which is fine I guess.
Later, at the last session, we did the classic ml-agents example and explored a bit. T’was ok and we did try to mess around with stuff but with no big success.
At last, we received the certificate of the summer programme, and took a picture together.

Conclusion

The summer programme is fun I guess?
I don’t really have any opinions.
But we did make a game following tutorial, learn basic of principle of games and rendering and AI and stuff.
But now that I think of it, last year there was also an entrepreneur session where we talk about how to build a business I think, did not really pay attention (“aka, thought of many ideas of product under time constraint of 5/10 minute”).
But yeah it is great content for my blog lol.
Anyways,

Good Luck!
